OwlCrate Theme & Sneak Peeks – February 2017

ocpicSince this is the first month of my blog, you should know that the theme is typically announced around the 20th of the month prior, within the box itself but also usually online. OwlCrate is my all time favorite YA box, so I had to start here! Let’s look at the sneak peek of the box theme & a couple of the items.

And the theme for this month is…. Run Away with the Circus!

I love that they promise that there are no clowns involved. It just goes to show how many people are freaking out by clowns that it had to be added into an announcement.

Item # 1 spoiler – they are including a yummy scented candle from Frostbeard Studio. I love Frostbeard Studio and their candles. I think this will be a fun item! (Any guesses on the scent? Kettle Corn? Cotton Candy? Hmm! You can use this link to get 10% off your first Frostbeard Studio order. Highly recommended if you love bookish candles!)

Item # 2 spoiler – they are including an exclusive tote designed by Evie Bookish! The design isn’t shown, but I’m sure it will be beautiful.

You can check out Evie’s work on society6.com. She does some amazing designs and I have to admit I would have gotten the box just for one of her items alone.

That’s all we know about the  box so far.

Here are some details on OwlCrate:

1 – Their boxes are shipped monthly, usually between the 15th & 20th.

2 – Subscription rate is $29.99 per month, plus shipping ($6.99 to the US, $10.59 to Canada, $19.99 worldwide).

3 – They just started working with PayPal! I know that’s good news for a lot of people, though I personally don’t really use PayPal. Worth mentioning though.

4 – They just posted a coupon on Instagram for 10% off this months box. (Code: POPCORN). So there is still time to get a box if you’ve been waiting to try OC!

5 – They also have an OwlCrate Jr. box for those with middle grade readers. The traditional OC box is for Young Adult books.

This is a box I get on a regular basis, so I will be back with a review once I receive it. I think this will be one of my most favorite months… fingers crossed!
