#TopTenTuesday: Top Ten Most Anticipated YA Books for Fall 2017

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is Top Ten Most Anticipated Books for the Second Half of 2017. Since I just did a summer anticipated last week in the freebie theme, I am going to adapt this to the Fall YA Releases. Here we go!

  • The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo – Because anything by Leigh Bardugo is a sure-thing-insta-buy-situation for me. And part of it is new stories from the Grishverse. Out on September 26.

  • Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao – Because I’ve been hearing good early buzz and following the author on twitter. Looks like a great read! Out on October 10.

  • Renegades by Marissa Meyer – Because I’m liking how influenced Marissa Meyer’s is by anime and graphic novels lately… and this story sounds awesome. Out on November 7.

  • Into the Bright Unknown by Rae Carson – Because it is the third in the series, and Rae Carson writes like a dream. Out on October 10.

  • The Knowing by Sharon Cameron – Because The Forgetting was a solid, memorable read, and I am ready for the next installment! Out on October 10.

  • Artemis by Andy Weir – Because, although this is not YA, it is a book by Andy Weir and I loved The Martian. So. And it’s set on the moon. Out on November 14.

  • All the Wind in the World by Samantha Mabry – Because I made the (awesome) mistake of reading an early excerpt and it sucked me in. Out on October 10.

  • This Darkness Mine by Mindy McGinnis – Because Mindy McGinnis is becoming an insta-buy author for me, and she returns to her contemporary-ish roots here. Out on October 10.

  • All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater – Because everyone YA reader I know seems to love Maggie Stiefvater’s RB series, which this is not, but I feel like I need to try it anyway. Out on October 10.

  • Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi – Because the word is that this is going to be a must-read… we’ll see if that’s true, but for now, it does have me intrigued. Out on October 31.

There we go! Do you have any of these on your fall TBR? What would you add to this list?

Also I now realize how many books on this list come out on October 10. That was completely unintentional. Apparently that date is out to break my heart when I try to decide which one to read first.

  1. The Language of Thorns & Forest of a Thousand Lanterns are also on my list. Anything by Bardugo and you know it’s going to be good! I only wish that Forest of a Thousand Lanterns had a better cover. The image placed on the green background looks blah and could have been so much more.
